They offer services including skin biopsies, suturing cuts/ lacerations, removal of skin tags/ lesions, cryotherapy and diathermy, Childhood/Adult/Travel immunizations, Pap smears, Implanon insertion and removal, Men’s Health, Paediatrics, Work cover/Driving license & Insurance medicals, Mental Health care & Team Care Arrangements.

All bulk are billed for Medicare patients. Call for appointments. Non-Medicare patients pay a fee and claim on Medicare. The clinic also offers video consultations for some services.

After Hours Care

If there is a medical emergency outside of opening hours, please contact the practice or 13SICK. If necessary, you can be referred to the nearest hospital, where an after-hours doctor will see you (please note that some services require a GP referral).

Better Medical has recently funded a major renovation at Mt Barker South, which involved re-vamping the entire clinic. While there was considerable juggling of spaces with Doctors moving from room to room, the kitchen being re-located, and the front door moving around several times, everyone took it in their stride, resulting in a beautiful new space for patients. My Home Hospital

GPs can refer their patients to My Home Hospital for a public hospital-level service in the comfort of their own homes. During a call, the My Home Hospital team will collect primary patient identifiers and demographics. This will enable a clinician to discuss clinical requirements with the patient and agree on a management plan.

The Stirling GP offers minor surgical procedures, vaccinations, skin biopsy, suturing cuts/ lacerations, venesections, childhood and adult immunizations, pap smears, insertion/ removal of implanon, men’s health, paediatrics, medicals:

  • Pre-employment, driving license
  • Insurance medicals, work cover assessments &amp
  • Mental health plans

This practice has several allied health practitioners onsite, including physiotherapy, Bowen Therapy, Speech Pathology and acupuncture. It also has a dedicated Hand & and Upper Limb rehabilitation service. They offer a holistic approach to physical wellbeing and treat a variety of conditions, including neck/back pain, musculoskeletal problems, anxiety and stress. They use techniques such as massage, manual therapy, rehabilitative exercise and pilates.

Complaints

If you have a complaint or concern, please talk to our practice manager at the time or contact reception during clinic hours, and they will arrange to meet with you. If you do not feel your complaint has been satisfactorily resolved, the Consumer Advisory Services for each Local Health Network are available to assist you. They have direct access to patient treatment details and are well-placed to provide a clinical response to your concerns.
